What We Do
The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) is a non profit making professional body for medical doctors in Zambia. RDAZ has been in existence prior to independence in 1964, but was officially registered with the registrar of societies in 1994. The mandate of RDAZ is to uphold the welfare and professional integrity of the medical doctors. It represents the interests and professional dispensation of all non specialist resident doctors.

Through our governance and democratic structures, we are the leading voice negotiating for all resident doctors from registar and below.
What We Do
We advocate for greater investment in the Public Health Sector and work hand in hand with various stakeholders on matters relating to health.
We believe a healthy nation is key to development of any nation as such, ensuring that the providers of health services are well taken care of is the key mandate of the association. A WELL REMUNERATED DOCTOR is a happy, focused and motivated health care provider.
The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia National Executive met the Minister of Health Honorable Sylvia Masebo yesterday for a formal introductory meeting. A number of important issues affecting resident doctors were discussed. Some of these were; -The recruitment process, cleaning up of errors on the list published, replacements and the role of RDAZ in the future recruitment exercises. - Specialization programmes currently running in the country and career progression. -Salary arrears, employments, wrong salary scales and gratuity owed to various doctors. - Health promotion and matters of public health concern and RDAZ’s role in such activities.
