This week The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia NEC President Dr Mweushi Mphande and Planner Dr Paul Chibwe met with The Representative of The unemployed Doctors Dr C.Bwale aswell as the President of the Mulungushi University Medical Students Union Mr Kambani Ngoma.
They discussed at length the concerns and wishes of the unemployed doctors with regards to the coming recruitment of health workers by the Ministry of Health. We currently have 1027 unemployed doctors who will compete for the limited positions in this year’s recruitment process.
They also discussed the various challenges being faced by medical students under Mulungushi University and how the RDAZ could assist in resolving some of these challenges aswell as prospects of research , capacity building and participation in many other activities in the medical proffession and how this will help build the students and better prepare them for their careers in the noble proffession of Medicine.
Mulungushi University is expected to this year graduate 39 Medical Doctors.
